Bernice Ilene Lynch (Gordon) nee Thomas
Passed away on Aug 18, 2024 in Prince Rupert, B.C. at the age of 93. Bernice was predeceased by her spouses Roy Gordon and Edward Lynch, her parents Carl and Emma Thomas and her sister Leila Hutchinson. Mother of Shelley Azzano, Brian Gordon, Sheila (Bob)Gordon-Payne, Mark (Sheila)Gordon, and the late Paul Gordon. “Nan” to her grandchildren Justin (Amanda), Darrin (Catalina), Brian, Emma, Robin, Kieran, Lucas, Nicolas, Kyle, Cole and to her great-grandchildren Nate, Antonia, Ella, Marco and Ben. ”Aunt B” to her remaining nieces and nephew.
Bernice was born in New Lowell, Ont. on the family farm on March27,1931 and was a nursing graduate of Brantford General Hospital in 1952. She enjoyed 42 years as a full-time nurse specializing in ICU and CCU. The first 32 years were spent nursing in Brantford and Barrie Ont. The last 10 years of her career were her favourite, nursing for the federal government in Northern Manitoba in Garden Hill and St. Theresa Point. Bernice greatly enjoyed travelling and she explored every continent. At Bernice’s request a private service will be held with internment in Stayner Union Cemetery.
