Dec 14th 1954-Dec 9th 2024
Ken was wonderful Brother, loving Uncle, good friend and golfer extraordinaire.
Ken passed away peacefully Dec 9th 2024, at Hospice Simcoe, in Barrie. Ken was only 5 days away from his 70th birthday, Dec 14th.
Ken was pre deceased by his long time girlfriend Doris Van Clief, and his twin sister Wendy Thompson (MacKnight). Ken’s last job was with Nissan Experience Orillia, where he retired when covid hit us all.
Ken will be missed by his friends, golf family and his family, he was a spark wherever he was, he loved to laugh & joke, was a very caring private man, but shared what was on his mind. Loved his fun times, music and a few cold beers and a round of golf … or 2 and a good party!
I received this note from one of his friends:
“Kenny will be extremely missed. He was a welcoming person who told you the way he saw the world and did not hold anything back. There was no gray matter in Ken‘s world. Danced to his own drum & would give you the shirt off his back and ask for nothing in return… “ yup that was Ken!
As per Ken’s request he said, “please NO FUSS when I am gone” Have a drink and cheer me on! ❤️
Ken we loved you dearly my special special brother, I’ll see you on the other side for a round of golf …. Sending All our love , Cheers to you Ken
❤️🍻🍺🍻 ❤️
Ken’s ashes will be spread in Nova Scotia along the eastern shores at our family’s favourite beach.
