It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tom Mullan - a devoted husband to Jocelyn, loving father to Paul (Wendie), Caroline (Kevin), Jody (Brian), Brian (Jodie), Steven, Timothy, Ruth Ann and Derek and dear brother to Letty (Russell). He was also a cherished grandfather to Ryan, Greg, Riley, Ayden, Kieran, Chris, Emily, Ben, Emma, Grace, Abbey and Liam, and a proud great-grandfather to Kaleb, Owen and Matthew.
Born in Limavady, Northern Ireland, Tom led a life brimming with love, laughter, and unwavering Christian faith. He built more than customs homes, he built a legacy of cherished memories with his family. After moving to Canada in 1969, he made Barrie and it's surrounding area his home, where his roots and warmth spread far and wide.
Tom's passions were as boundless as his heart. A drummer in a pipe band, an avid golfer, tennis player, soccer fan and fly fisherman, he especially cherished his annual October trips to the River Roe in Northern Ireland, reconnecting with family and tradition.
Tom's kindness and charm left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. As we celebrate his life, we take comfort in imagining him on a heavenly golf course, surrounded by love and laughter. Rest in peace, dear Tom.
A private family funeral service was held at Eaton Funeral Home. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Canada or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family.
