Norman, George

Peacefully, surrounded by family at Hospice Simcoe on Saturday, January 9, 2016, in his 88th year. Loving husband of Frances for 61 years. Honoured father of Stuart, Alan, Jim and Beth. Cherished grandfather of Lynn, Annie, Conor, Keara, Matthew and Christopher. George was a long-time employee of Falconbridge Nickel Mines and will be sadly missed by many lifelong friends. Guests are invited to celebrate George’s life at a gathering luncheon at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Rd, Barrie, on Saturday, January 23rd, from 2pm until 4pm. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Central United Church Barrie or Hospice Simcoe and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
