Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie in her 81st year. Predeceased by her husband William “Bill” O’Brien in 2009. Loving mother of Lori O’Brien (Jason) and David O’Brien (Tonya). Cherished grandmother of Samuel and Logan. Will be sadly missed by her brother Gary, and predeceased by sisters Wendy and Kelly, as well as her brother Ralph.
Gail was the daughter of the late Walter “Red” and Irene Gordon. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, businesswoman, School Board Trustee, a supporter of good government, and an avid golfer with her husband Bill. She always put the needs of others ahead of her own, and without fanfare.
Interment will take place at Little Brick Cemetery, 402 Ridge Rd. W., Oro Station, on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 at 11 AM. A celebration of Gail’s life will be announced at a later date.
Donations in her honour may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County, Autism Ontario, or Canadian Adaptive Snowsports – Ontario and are greatly appreciated by the family.
