The Owen Ali family are saddened to announce the sudden passing of their daughter, Destiny Olivia Owen Ali, at home on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024. She leaves behind her loving Mother, Father and Brother, Chris Ali, Katherine Owen, Ryan Owen. Destiny also leaves behind her nephew and Godson Dominic Owen, her support dog Milo, and extended family of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and countless friends who loved her dearly.

 A sports enthusiast who was a black belt in taekwondo, first female quarter at Ardagh Bluffs Public school for the flag football team, ice hockey player, ball hockey player, a natural goal scorer, basketball player throughout her school years, elite ball hockey player who played internationally for Great Britain in the Czech Republic scoring her first international goal winning Bronze for Great Britain in Montreal, Quebec adding an assist in a 2-1 win. Referee and Ball Hockey Coach to kids, mentor to both adults and children, volunteer at Kids Help Phone. Destiny always put others' needs ahead of her own. A heart of gold. A beacon of light. An infectious laugh and a smile that lit up the world. Kind, caring, supportive, and selfless. You always gave the best hugs.

Destiny, beloved daughter of Chris and Katherine, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at the age of 23. Cherished sister of Ryan and aunt to Dominic.

 God carried you as you helped and carried others. Pure joy - you made everyone around you a better person. You are an angel and will be forever missed by so many. Hoping you can see how many lives you’ve touched and made better. Be at peace, our loving Destiny.

Family and friends will be received at Legacy Funeral Home 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie (parking and entrance on Hwy 400 side of building) on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. until time of Service in the Chapel at 1 o'clock p.m. Interment Barrie Union Cemetery with a reception to follow at Legacy Funeral Home. Memorial donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be forwarded through www.legacyfuneral.ca
