It is with profound sadness that the family of Sharon Reid announce her peaceful passing on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 62 years of age.

Sharon will be lovingly remembered by Clarke, her husband of 34 years. Sons Brandon (Chantana), Shawn and daughter Dana (Ron), and by her mother Shirley Endicott. Also, her brother Brian Endicott and his wife Linda. Sharon also the proud grandmother to Linkin and Leia. She will be dearly missed by her close friends and former co-workers at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. Sharon was predeceased by her father Hugh Endicott.

Sharon was born in Peterborough and raised in Bridgenorth and Lakefield. She attended college in Peterborough before moving to Toronto to pursue her career in Nursing. While in Toronto she was introduced to Clarke by a mutual friend. Sharon relocated to Barrie where they married and raised their family. She continued Nursing at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre for more than 35 years, working as an RN in ICU, PAC and as a Clinical Nurse Educator with Professional Practice. She also successfully earned her Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in Nursing. She was extremely proud of her three children and their accomplishments and was especially proud of her two grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 445 St. Vincent St., in Barrie on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 2-4pm and 6-9pm and again on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 10-11am followed by the Service in the Chapel at 11am. Following the service, a reception will be held in the lounge. Cremation will take place later and internment will follow at a later date, to be announced, at Riverside Cemetery in Lindsay, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Sharon’s name to HOSPICE SIMCOE at 336 Penetanguishene Road, Barrie, ON, L4M 7C2.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the RVH Cancer Centre and the CAN/PAL floor. A very special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Hospice Simcoe. Your care and support will be forever remembered.
