It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gail (Florence) Reynolds (nee Kirby) on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2017. Gail was born in Brandon, Manitoba on March 2nd, 1944. She later moved with her family to Fergus, Ontario, where she completed her education with a degree in nursing, before marrying her high school sweetheart, Peter, in 1965. Gail trained and worked as a nurse for many years in both Fergus and Espanola. Continuing her participation in healthcare, Gail was, most recently, a long-time volunteer at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), located in Barrie. Gail is preceded in death by her husband Peter in 2010. She is survived by her devoted son, Paul (Carole), and her dear granddaughter, Olivia, all of whom were looking forward to welcoming Gail’s planned move to Vancouver in the Fall. Gail also enjoyed several years of travel and laughter with her loving friend, Bill. As well, she leaves behind son, Greg (Lorie) and grandchildren, Nadia, Keaton and Anika. Gail was one of a kind and will be forever remembered by those who loved her. We will miss her kindness, her sense of humor, her infectious laugh and her countless stories. We treasure the times we spent laughing with her and take comfort in the many people she cared for in her capacity as a nurse and as a friend. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A memorial will arranged at a later date.
