November 14, 1933 - July 11, 2024
Peacefully, with his wife and son by his side, Lawrence "Larry" Ruse passed away on July 11, 2024, at the age of 90.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Marilyn, his son Michael and wife Sandi, his grandchildren Melissa and Nicole, as well as numerous relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his father Frank, mother Polly, and brothers Doug, Ron, Jim, Bill, and Peter.
He will also be dearly missed by his sisters-in-law Carol (Jim), Gwen (Ron), and Stella (Doug) as well as his nieces and nephews.
Larry was a tremendous athlete who excelled in lacrosse, hockey, golf, tennis, and pickleball. His passion for sports was matched only by his love for his family and friends.
Many thanks to the Bayshore nurses and PSWs, and the staff at Campbell House for their wonderful care of Larry and his family. A special thank you to Dr. McLachlin. The caring support we received will always be remembered.
At Larry's request, no formal service will be held. A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at the Wasaga Beach United Church, 380 Zoo Park Road, Wasaga Beach from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
