Darleen Mary Jane Simpson was born on November 16, 1963 in Newmarket, Ontario. In life, she lit up every room she entered. As a vibrant and fun-loving resident of Innisfil, Ontario, Darleen brought boundless joy to her beloved family: her husband Chris, her children Patrick, Timothy and Stephanie, and her son-in-law Quinton Elliott. She wasn’t just a wife, mother and nana—Darleen was the heart and soul of her family.
With a laugh that could brighten anyone’s day, Darleen had a knack for making everyday life an adventure. She loved family gatherings at the cottage, where her energy was often contagious, and her love for life shone brightest. Whether she was making jokes, planning spontaneous outings, or simply enjoying the little moments, Darleen had a magical way of making everyone around her feel special and loved.
Her free spirit and zest for life inspired all who knew her to embrace each day with gratitude and laughter. Darleen’s legacy is one of joy, love, and endless fun—a reminder to live fully and love fiercely. She will forever be missed, but her radiant spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of her family and friends.
God bless Darleen. Though she is no longer with us in this world, we know her vibrant spirit surrounds us always. She will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us with her love and laughter.
A visitation will take place at Adams Funeral Home (445 St. Vincent St., Barrie) on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with a Funeral Mass to follow on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024 at 10am at St. Mary’s Parish (65 Amelia St., Barrie). Following the Mass, a reception will take place in the church hall.
In Darleen’s memory donations may be made to Saint Vincent de Paul.
