SMALLWOOD, David

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David James Smallwood while away on holidays. Dave was born June 27, 1956 and went home to be with his Lord on May 28, 2024. Beloved husband of Sheryl Anne (Pogue), loving father to their late son Craig (D. April 10, 2020) and their daughter Sara, and father-in-law to Erika (Martin) Smallwood and Mark Fisk. Adoring Grandpa to Sadie and Maxwell, and Thalia and Azariah. Dear brother to Dianne (Peter Hay). Predeceased by his parents James W. Smallwood and Joan (Turner) Smallwood and brother Dan.

Dave's family and his faith are what mattered most to him. He was always ready with a smile, a word of encouragement, or his handy, and well supplied, toolbox. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

The funeral service will be held at Willow Creek Baptist Church, Midhurst on Friday June 21, 2024 at 10am. Private interment for family will follow. Flowers can be sent to Jennett Memorial Centre (also known as Basic Funerals and Cremation Choices) on Bradford St. in Barrie prior to the day of service.
