SMITH, Glenn

Passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Thursday, March 16th, 2017, with his family at his side after a long and hard fought battle with Parkinsons Disease. Glenn Smith of Barrie in his 78th year was the beloved husband of the late Doreen Smith. Dear father of Theresa Harrison and her husband Keith of Newmarket, Gary and his wife Kelly of Aurora, Lesley Smith of Newmarket, Tammy Huggard and her husband Chris of Elmvale and Devin of Barrie. Loving Papa of Sarah, Kyle, Taylor, Tianna, Haleigh, Jacob, Katrina and Scott. Also survived by his sister Carley Moore of Mount Forest. Next to his family, Glenn found his greatest happiness from hockey. He was involved in the Newmarket Minor Hockey Association as a coach, referee and association president. After retirement Glenn became a devoted Barrie Colts fan. Friends may be received at JENNETT FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTRE (152 Bradford St. in Barrie) on Monday, March 20th, 2017 for visiting from 11:00a.m. until the time of Service at 1:00p.m. Spring Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
