Stephen James Spencer
August 27, 1958 — May 26, 2024
The family of Stephen James Spencer are sad to announce his peaceful passing at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, Ontario on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the age of 65.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Margaret Spencer and siblings Donald, Gregory, and Randy. He is survived by his siblings Michael, Paul, Eric, April, Brian, and Jason. He is also survived by his friends Jesse and Debbi.
Stephen maintained his independence despite his disabilities and loved photography, motion pictures (as projectionist), electronics like smart phones and computers and could fix computers as well as install multiple operating systems.
Stephen also had a love for his pet dog Molly and had a deep friendship with his closest friends . He also had a compassion for people in need. Stephen’s resilience and warmth will live on in our memories.
The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation for the staff of Royal Victoria Health and especially those in Cardio and ICU who helped him through his struggles with kindness and compassion.
Stephen has been cremated and will be buried at Union Cemetery. There are currently no plans for a funeral or memorial service. You are able to leave your expressions and memories here.
