Passed away peacefully at Victoria Village Manor on January 7, 2019 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late George Stephens. Loving mother of Glenn and his wife Liz of Kitchener, and Brian and his wife Carla of Sault Ste. Marie. Loving grandmother of Tianna Pyne (Jeff), Jacob and Lucas. Great grandmother of Arabella and Lillian Pyne. Dear sister of Dorothy Switzer of Mississauga, the late Harry Wood of Minesing and Larry Wood of Oro. Also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Guests will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, in Barrie on Saturday January 12, 2019 from 12 pm until the time we celebrate her life in the chapel at 1 pm. A reception will follow on site. Mary will be interred beside her beloved husband at Barrie Union Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society and are greatly appreciated. The family would like to take this opportunity to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of 4th Level Kensington House at Victoria Village Manor for the wonderful care Mary received during her stay.
