1949 - 2024

Passed peacefully in her 75th year at the Ottawa General Hospital (OGH) on Friday, October 11, 2024. For five weeks during September and early October, she fought a courageous personal battle against leukemia and its associated complications. The OGH and their dedicated medical teams did the best they could for Brenda.

Born August 2, 1949 in Toronto of Arthur Clarke and Lois (Kenney) Clarke, she leaves her sons Jason Michaud and André-François Michaud (Andrew & Nathalie) as well as her husband and best friend, Gregory Taylor. Brenda also leaves Daniel Taylor (Danielle) and grandchildren Hudson, Boston, Pippa and Weston; Maxwell (Robin) Taylor and grandchildren Vale, Rose and Nash of Toronto.  She will dearly miss her many cousins and close friends, Beverley and Andy.

Brenda was raised and educated in Keene, New Hampshire but returned to Toronto in 1968. She later moved to Québec and attended Concordia University where she earned a BA with honours. Brenda had an exceptional talent for interior design and improving her homes wherever she lived – Québec City, Montréal, Toronto, Barrie and Orléans. Her social groups included the CFUW, Barrie and her Red Hat Chapter, Orléans. She loved her life and filled it with multiple interests - traveling, writing, doing research and being among her beloved cats made her the happiest of all. We shall miss her easy charm and laughter!
