(May 1, 1955 – January 11, 2017)
Quietly, and with the dignity he lived his life, Peter has left to spend eternity with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. With grateful hearts, his wife and family give thanks to God for allowing us to enjoy the rich blessing of time spent with such a warm and generous man. He was transported to Jesus’ presence on Wednesday January 11, 2017. He leaves his devoted wife of 22 years, Jane (Tulloch) Tjeerdsma of Springwater. Peter was the son of the late John and Aujke Tjeerdsma, and much loved sibling of Sid (late Rose) and Anne, Eelke and Jane, Alie and George, Symen and Sandra. Son In-Law of Della (the late Glen) Tulloch. Brother in-law of Nancy and Perry, Mike and Cathie, Sheila and Ellis, and Marnie (late James). Peter’s life was enriched by his loving cousins Grace and Dirk, Eileen and Bobby, and dear Tante Yt. He took delight in many wonderful nieces, nephews and their children. Peter was thankful for his loving Emmanuel church family, kind farm neighbours on the 6th of Flos, his Elmvale small group, and special friends from Angus. Friends may pay their respects at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Barrie on Monday January 16, 2017 from 2 to 4, and 7 to 9 pm. On Tuesday January 17, 2017 you are welcome to join in a celebration of Peter’s life also at Emmanuel at 2 pm, Pastor Rick Buck officiating. Internment will take place at Elmvale in the spring. For those who wish to make a donation in Peter’s memory he has chosen the Salvation Army’s Bayside Mission for the homeless in Barrie or a charity of your choice.
