Of Wasaga Beach, ON, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, on Thursday, September 26th 2024 in her 96th year.
Beloved Wife of the late Teunis “Tony”.
Loving Mother of Rosita Dileo (Danny), the late Joe Weichelt (the late Robin), the late Diana Boyes, Erana McCombs (Mark), Kim Van de Kemp and step-daughter Debra Van de Kemp.
Cherished Oma of Lori (Dave), Lisa (Andrew), Vanessa (Joe), Nicolas (Kate), Kaila, Chelsea, Luca (Andrea), Brianna (Matteo) and Daniela.
Sadly missed by her 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her grandson Dean, brother Hermann and sister Helga.
Irene will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
At Irene’s and the family’s request, cremation has taken place.
Friends may visit with the family at the Steven R. Bridge Funeral Home, 207 Mill Street, Angus, ON, on Sunday, October 6th 2024 from 1:00pm until the time of the memorial service at 2:00pm.
Interment will take place at a later date at Brampton Memorial Gardens.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
