Peacefully passed at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, January 25th, 2023 at the age of 93.
Devoted wife of Roland Wagner (2004), pre-deceased by her son Ken Drever (2018). Marge will be greatly missed by her daughters Diana Miller (Gary) and Bonnie Drever (Don Gillis). Loving grandmother to Kimberly and Kelly Shepherd and Ken Drever Jr (Natalie) and Samantha Drever. Proud great grandmother of Jamieson, Jackson, Sam; Griffin, Jasmine, Isabella and Connor. Marge will be fondly remembered by extended family members and dear friends.
Musical by nature, Marge shared her passion for music by teaching and directing countless singers in the Barrie community. She was a church organist and later a choir member at Grace United Church. She was the choir director for over 25 years with the Parkview Singers. Their annual vocal gifts would raise funds every Christmas for the community of Barrie at Barrie City Hall in the Rotunda. Many will remember Marge as director of The Mello Blends Barbershop chorus for 35 years and she was always praised for her gifted skills as a barbershop quartette singer, competition judge and quartette coach. Her loving enthusiasm will be remembered as her greatest strength.
Our family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the compassionate care received from Dr. Lopez and the nurses at RVH; all of the personal support workers from Daisy-A-Day and St. Elizabeth Home care.
A celebration of life followed by a reception and visitation will held at Grace United Church, 350 Grove St. E., Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11 am.
