Frances Anne Waterman (nee Loscombe), beloved wife, mother, Nammy and sister, passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born on December 9, 1955, growing up in London, ON, and most recently resided in Angus, ON.
Frances was married to her loving husband, Bill, for an incredible 48 years. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and shared adventures. Their bond was a true testament to the power of a strong and enduring partnership.
Frances leaves behind her treasured children, Geoff (Alicia) Waterman and Megan (Matt) Purton, who brought immense joy to her life. She found great pride in witnessing their growth and accomplishments.
She cherished her role as a Nammy, and took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren, Jordan and Jude Waterman, Liam and Owen Purton.
Frances is also survived by her sisters, Jolyn (Glenn) Lawrenson and Dawn (Jeff) Snell, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and Danielle Valcheff who she loved as a daughter. Lifelong memories were shared and stories will continue to bring comfort to those who loved her.
Frances cherished nothing more than spending time with her family and adored animals. Her warm heart and compassionate nature led her to dedicate her life to rescuing as many animals as she could. She found great joy in providing a loving home for her furry friends.
Frances was an avid sports fan and held a deep affection for the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs. She could often be found cheering them on with great enthusiasm.
Frances will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her kindness, warm heart, and unwavering love for animals will forever be remembered as her enduring legacy. May she rest in eternal peace.
The family requests that donations be made in her honour to Street Cats Animal Rescue or the Canadian Liver Foundation in lieu of flowers.
A Celebration of Frances’ life will be held at a later date.
