Passed away peacefully in Orillia Ontario, on Sunday November 8th, in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Robert Whalen (1997). Loving mother of Robert Jr. (Brenda), Timothy (Cindy), Paul (Pauline), Lee (Diane), Debbie (Mike), the late Susan (1979), and Jesse (Melanie). Dear grandma of R.J., Rachelle, Kyle, Travis, Austin, Andrea, Eric, Glen, Adam, Celina, Emily, Taylor, Curtis and Billy. Great grandma of Alexander, Adelaide, Charlie, and Rylie. Family and friends will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, on Wednesday November 11th from 2pm until 4pm, and 7pm until 9pm. Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday November 12th at 11am. Donation in Irene’s memory may be made to the Orillia S.P.C.A, and would be appreciated by the family.
