No injuries are being reported following a two-vehicle crash involving a Barrie police cruiser and a white SUV Thursday afternoon.
“We do have officers on scene and from what I am hearing there are no injuries,” confirmed Peter Leon, the department’s communication co-ordinator.
Details surrounding the crash, which occurred in the intersection at Anne and Tiffin streets, were limited, he noted, however police got the call at 2:05 p.m.
“The investigation is ongoing and we do have a supervisor there to help. I don’t know any of the details surrounding what happened other than it was in the intersection and there is damage to two vehicles, one being a marked police vehicle,” said Leon.
As of just after 2:31 p.m. crews were called to clean up any debris from the crash, said Leon, noting if the road is closed in the area, it is likely a limited closure until the cleanup is completed.
“Things should be fully reopened shortly,” he said.
