During the investigation, police say officers seized suspected cocaine, a conducted energy weapon and ammunition.

  • Possession of a firearm/ammunition contrary to a prohibition order (four counts)
  • Failure to comply with an undertaking
  • Carrying a concealed prohibited device or ammunition
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance
  • Careless driving
  • Driving while under suspension

He was held for a bail hearing Tuesday and was remanded into custody.

Zaid Al-Mashni, 27, also of Barrie, has been charged with failure to comply with an undertaking and has a Jan. 22 court date in Walkerton.

None of the allegations have been tested in court.
