There was a heavy police presence in downtown Barrie Sunday night after officers responded to a reported robbery, however details remain limited.
Police were searching behind Dunlop Street East buildings between Clapperton and Owen streets. There were also police cars as far away as Codrington and St. Vincent streets.
Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon told BarrieToday that "cars are assisting with a containment of the area for a canine track that is underway. We have responded to a robbery."
BarrieToday will have more details as they become available.
