City police are continuing their investigation into gunshots last night, but do not yet have any suspects.
Shortly after 10 p.m., Monday, police received a call about gunfire in the area of Penetang and Berczy streets.
Barrie police communication co-ordinator Peter Leon told BarrieToday that upon investigation, officers “did locate evidence to suggest that the information (about gunfire) was accurate.”
While no suspects have been taken into custody, Leon said police have information there was an altercation before the incident.
The investigation is ongoing in the area.
