Collision at Grove St. E. and Peel St. causes power outage

More than 500 customers have been affected by a power outage caused by a two-car collision on Peel Street

Emergency crews were called to a two-vehicle crash causing damage to a hydro pole on Peel Street, Monday morning, which left more than 500 customers without power.

Emergency crews were called to a two-vehicle crash causing damage to a hydro pole on Peel Street, Monday morning. 

The crash happened at around 11:30 a.m., Oct. 2, near Grove St. E. 

According to Alectra Utilities, 564 customers have been affected by a power outage, and they estimate electricity will be restored between 3 p.m. and 5. p.m. today.
