Downtown hit-and-run crash injures motorcyclist

Barrie police investigate a hit-and-run involving a motorcycle, which occurred downtown near Codrington and Dundonald streets last night.

City police are investigating after a motorcycle hit-and-run incident in downtown Barrie last night.

Police received the call at 9:35 p.m. on Aug. 18, with officers responding to the scene near Codrington and Dundonald streets.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon told BarrieToday.

The car involved in the collision fled the scene, he added.

Details surrounding the crash are limited at this time and the investigation is ongoing, police say.
