Impaired complaint leads to seizure of meth, fentanyl and crack

A complaint Tuesday about a possible impaired driver in Orillia has led to numerous charges being laid against a Sudbury man.

Shortly before 9 a.m. on Sept. 17, Orillia OPP officers were called to a Monarch Drive business, where a man was “showing numerous signs of being intoxicated,” according to a news release.

Police say a search turned up drugs, cash and “items consistent with drug trafficking.”

Officers seized 183 grams of methamphetamine, 46 grams of crack cocaine, 146.1 grams of fentanyl, hydromorphone, $4,035 in Canadian currency, a digital scale and numerous cellular devices.

Michael Repuszka, 48, has been charged with the following:

  • Operation while impaired (drugs)
  • Two counts of possession of a Schedule 1 substance (opioid)
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance (cocaine)
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance (methamphetamine)
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine)
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (opioid) 

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

None of the allegations have been tested in court.
