Nottawasaga OPP have charged a local man following a series of crashes in Angus on Monday night.

A local man is facing multiple charges after provincial police say his truck slammed into numerous parked vehicles in a residential neighbourhood last night in Angus.

At 9 p.m. on Sept. 16, Nottawasaga OPP received a report that a pickup truck had struck parked vehicles on Margaret Street.

The driver was gone by the time police arrived, police say, but officers followed the debris and located the vehicle with the suspect inside.

Dylan Stroud, of Angus, has been charged with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired (alcohol or drugs), operation while impaired (blood-alcohol concentration 80-plus), failure to remain at the scene of a crash, and driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor.

None of the allegations have been tested in court.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Bradford court at a later court date.
