No injuries have been reported following a single-vehicle collision on Highway 400 in Barrie, south of Dunlop Street, this morning.
Det.-Const. Nicola Morris, with the OPP's Highway Safety Division, told BarrieToday two southbound lanes of the highway were closed for just under 30 minutes early this morning. However, all lanes were reopened as of 7 a.m.
Aurora OPP officers, Simcoe County paramedics and Barrie firefighters were all called to the scene.
“It ended up being a single-vehicle (collision), no injuries and the highway reopened about a half an hour later,” Morris said.
The call came in at 6:37 a.m. on Dec. 31.
“A black sedan spun out (and) hit the median … It initially came in as a multi (-vehicle collision) because other people stopped, but they were not involved," Morris said.
The investigation is ongoing.
