A black Dodge Charger crashed into a ravine area off Anne Street North in Barrie, Sunday morning.
No serious injuries were reported from the crash, which neighbours said happened at approximately 6 a.m.
The northbound car appears to have left Anne Street, south of Shirley Avenue, veered onto an embankment, struck a tree, and went into a ravine area about 30 feet lower than the road.
Classic Towing was called to the scene, north of the Anne Street bridge over Highway 400, to remove the badly damaged car from the ravine Sunday afternoon.
Traffic was snarled in both directions on Anne Street and, combined with the closed Sunnidale Road bridge, made traffic a nightmare for motorists.
The investigation continues.
