Nottawasaga OPP have arrested and charged a local man in relation to an armed robbery investigation which took place in Angus on Canada Day.
On Saturday, July 1 at around 9:40 p.m., there was an armed robbery at the B&M Variety at 23 Brentwood Rd., in Essa Township.
The incident lasted for roughly five minutes and the suspect stole a "small amount of cash," police stated in a news release.
Nobody was injured during the incident, police said.
As a result of a police investigation, a 29-year-old Angus man was arrested and charged with two counts of robbery and disguise with intent, the OPP said in a news release.
OPP Const. Katy Viccary tells BarrieToday they are not releasing the name of the accused in order to "protect the integrity of the investigation."
