Barrie police say no serious injuries were reported following a two-vehicle crash in the city's south end, Friday afternoon.
The crash, which left a black pickup truck on its side with its windshield nearly entirely smashed, took place at 2:40 p.m. on Jan. 10 near the intersection of Yonge Street and St. Paul’s Crescent, not far from Mapleview Drive East.
A dark-coloured Chevy SUV also sustained serious damage to its front end.
“Information on the crash is limited as the investigation remains ongoing,” Peter Leon, the department’s communications co-ordinator, told BarrieToday. “It does not appear as if there has been any life-threatening injuries sustained and it appears to be more property damage than anything at this time.”
One person was extricated by Barrie Fire and Emergency Service.
The drivers of both vehicles were cleared medically at the scene by County of Simcoe paramedics.
