One person had to be extricated from the wreckage following a single-vehicle rollover early this morning in Oro-Medonte, north of Barrie.
Provincial police also say another person involved in the crash had left the scene before emergency crews arrived.
Orillia OPP officers were called to the scene at Line 7 North and 15/16 Sideroad around 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 10.
The male was removed from the vehicle and eventually transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre by air ambulance with "serious injuries," according to Orillia OPP.
An OPP Central Region canine unit and the emergency response team (ERT) were also on scene trying to locate the person who left prior to police arrival.
"Police were able to locate the involved person a short distance away with injuries," OPP stated in a news release. "The female was transported to a Barrie-area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries."
The Central Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement unit (TIME) continues to investigate.
The intersection was closed for several hours for investigation, but has since been reopened.
Oro-Medonte firefighters, Simcoe County paramedics and Hydro One workers also responded.
Anyone who may have witnessed or has camera footage of the collision and has not spoken with police are asked to contact Orillia OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
