OPP investigating attempted abduction in Orillia

The incident happened at about 6:10 p.m., Saturday, police say; Police are looking for witnesses

Orillia OPP are asking for the public's help after an attempted abduction near the intersection of Front and King streets, Saturday evening.

Police say that at about 6:10 p.m., a Black male, wearing a Jamaican-style beanie, tried to pull a female into his vehicle — an older model silver sedan.

The woman was able to get away without being injured. She said the man was about six feet tall and was between 30 and 40 years old.
