Over $19,000 in drugs, cash seized in Midland bust

Two males face charges related to possession and trafficking of cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamine

On March 10, 2017 members of the Midland Police Service and the K-9 unit from Fenbrook Correctional Facility, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant on a dwelling house located on the East Side of the Town of Midland, Ontario.

Once officers made entry into the residence, a quantity of Cocaine, Methamphetamine (Molly), Marijuana and Canadian Currency was seized. The total Street value of the drugs and currency seized is estimated at $19,221.

Six individuals were arrested at the residence, but only two males were charged for possession of the seized drugs and Canadian Currency.

All suspects were transported back to the Midland Police Service. Two males were held for a bail hearing, while the other four were released unconditionally.

Charged: Bailey Ross-Trewin (18 years of age) from Midland, Ontario

1) Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the Purpose of Trafficking- Cocaine s. 5(2) CDSA

2) Possession of a schedule 1 substance- Cocaine s. 4(1) CDSA

3) Possession of a schedule 2 substance for the Purpose of Trafficking- Cannabis Marijuana under 3kg s. 5(2) CDSA

4) Possession of a Schedule 2 Substance- Cannabis Marijuana over 30 grams s. 4(1) CDSA

5) Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance- Methamphetamine s. 4(1) CDSA

6) Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 s. 354(1) (a) CC

Charged: Michael Skinner (27 years of age) from Midland, Ontario

Charges:

1) Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 s. 354(1) (a) CC

2) Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by Officer in Charge s. 145(5.1) CC
