Police ask for help to identify suspects in theft from Freshco on Bayfield

The Barrie Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify two men following a theft that occurred on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018.

The theft had been captured on video surveillance from Freshco, located at 409 Bayfield, in the City of Barrie. The men had been observed at 6 p.m. entering the store, and selecting numerous packages of chocolate bars and gum, and placing them into each of their backpacks. The men left the store without making any attempt to pay for the items and were last seen leaving the area on foot.

The investigation is ongoing.

Suspects are described as;

Suspect # 1

  • Male, white (28 to 35 yrs.)
  • Thin build
  • Black facial hair (unshaven)
  • Wearing a black baseball hat, white/grey “Guess” t-shirt, dark pants, and running shoes and carrying a black backpack with pink trim.

 Suspect #2

  • Male, white (28 to 35 yrs.)
  • Muscular build
  • Shaved head and black facial hair (chin strap style beard)
  • Wearing a white collared shirt, blue jeans (skinny style), and black running shoes and carrying a black backpack with pink trim.
