Police looking for pair following attempted robbery in Innisfil

South Simcoe police say suspect approached victim demanding money and drugs on Oct. 30 near Innisfil Beach Road and Adullam Avenue

South Simcoe police hope members of the public can help solve a recent attempted robbery and assault in Innisfil.

Shortly before noon on Monday, Oct. 30, police say an 18-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the area of Innisfil Beach Road and Adullam Avenue "when he heard an unknown male suspect yelling at him," according to a release. 

Police say the suspect approached the victim and demanded money and drugs.

"The victim told the suspect he did not have any and was assaulted by the suspect who stated he had a weapon," according to police. 

The suspect fled northbound from the scene.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

Police say they are releasing images in an effort to identify the suspect and a female who was with him at the time of the incident.
