Heavily armed police were seen searching for a wanted person near Barrie's downtown this morning.
At 10:08 a.m. on April 23, a police tactical unit was used as they searched an address in the area of Maple Avenue and Sophia Street.
“We were looking for a wanted person, and the person was not there,” Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon told BarrieToday.
Police did not offer any further information about the investigation or who they were looking for.
