A report of someone walking with a gun in Orillia prompted a heavy police response Thursday morning.
Shortly before 9 a.m., Orillia OPP responded to the area of Barrie Road and Dufferin Street for a report of male walking with a firearm.
Police shut down the roads and, within 10 minutes, located the suspect and arrested him.
The suspect was carrying a BB gun, Orillia OPP stated in a news release, adding there is no threat to public safety.
