'Malfunctioned': Car jumps curb, crashes into Angus storefront

No injuries reported and no charges laid in Massey Street collision Saturday afternoon

Provincial police responded to an Angus business after a vehicle crashed into its storefront Saturday afternoon.

At 2:53 p.m. on June 1, Nottawasaga OPP received a report of a single-vehicle collision causing property damage to a business on Massey Street.

“The vehicle malfunctioned, jumping the curb and entering the storefront,” police communications co-ordinator Brooklyn Harker told BarrieToday.

“The vehicle was towed and the store has been boarded up,” she added.

There appeared to be significant damage to the building.

Police noted there were no injuries and no charges were laid in the incident.
