Tiffin St. partially closed as crews deal with pickup fire

Firefighters found truck engulfed in flames near the intersection of Tiffin and Dunlop West; lane closure remains in place

Emergency crews responded to a fire call around 5:30 p.m. and found a pickup truck on fire near the intersection of Tiffin Street and Dunlop Street West, in the city’s west end on Wednesday. No injuries were reported.

A part of Tiffin Street in Barrie remains closed after a pickup truck fire on Wednesday afternoon.

Fire crews responded to the call around 5:30 p.m. and found a pickup truck engulfed in flames near the intersection of Tiffin Street and Dunlop Street West, in the city’s west end.

There were no injuries reported.

The Tiffin Street closure was still in place as of 6:40 p.m. as environmental services deal with the runoff of fuel and firefighting agents, according to Deputy Fire Chief Eric MacFadden.
