BRADFORD - On Saturday, April 1, 2018 around 10 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service was called to a home in Bradford for a report of a theft from a vehicle. A 67-year-old man said he had left his wallet in the glove compartment of his unlocked vehicle and the wallet had been stolen.
He discovered the theft when his credit card company advised him of unauthorized transactions which police used in the follow-up investigation.
This follow-up led to the arrest of a 40-year-old Bradford man. He is charged with theft under $5,000, unlawful use of a credit card, possession of stolen property and two counts breach of probation.
South Simcoe Police Service wants to remind the public that thefts most often occur in your own driveway. Most people would never forget to lock vehicles at a mall parking lot. Please remember to lock vehicles in your driveway.
