For more than five years, Convoy International Secondary Academy (CISA) has been a leader in educational excellence in Essa, Ontario.
Its dedication to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment has garnered recognition from both local and international families. As CISA gears up for the 2024/25 school year, it is excited to announce several new initiatives to further enrich students' academic and extracurricular experiences.
Expanding Academic Offerings
With a growing number of day and boarding students from Canada and around the world, CISA is expanding its academic offerings. One of the most anticipated additions is Mandarin class for beginners.
This course will complement the existing language courses, providing students with the opportunity to learn daily conversation, pinyin (the Chinese alphabet), tones, and writing, as well as Chinese culture. This holistic approach to language learning will help students gain a practical understanding of Mandarin, opening doors to new cultural experiences and global opportunities.
Enriching Extracurricular Activities
In addition to new academic courses, CISA is expanding its extracurricular offerings.
It is excited to introduce several new after school clubs to cater to a wide range of interests, including the Fitness Club, Cantonese Club, Gardening Club and Yearbook Club. These clubs will be led by dedicated staff members and parent volunteers, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. Through these activities, students will develop valuable life skills, explore new hobbies and build lasting friendships.
NEW! School Uniforms
To help create a sense of equality and school pride among students, CISA is pleased to announce the introduction of school uniforms this year. The uniforms will allow students to focus more on their studies and less on their attire.
As they embark on these exciting new ventures, CISA remains committed to providing an exceptional educational experience that prepares its students for success both in and out of the classroom.
CISA at Kempenfest and the Barrie Fair
This year, CISA is thrilled to be participating in Kempenfest, from Aug. 2 - 5, and the Barrie Fair, Aug. 22 – 24. Prospective parents and students are invited to visit their booth to learn more about the academy and the opportunities they offer.
