While many stores in the Georgian Mall may come and go, one has stood the test of time and will be giving back to its loyal customers this weekend.
Caryl Baker Visage is celebrating 12 years in the Georgian Mall and the make-over specialists have gone through a make-over themselves as renovations just wrapped up. Manager Ashley Godfrey is excited about this coming Saturday and Sunday and all the festivities planned for the store and those who come by.
“We have our grand re-opening and just finished our renovations in the last six weeks so the store feels brand new with a fresh feel to it,” said Godfrey. “We are asking all new and existing clients to come in and have a good time with us. There is going to be refreshments and goodies, a wheel for people to spin and win prizes plus amazing deals on skin care and make-up. There are also some really good deals happening with treatment, an example is some of our facials are on for $49 and are regularly go up to $140 so that’s a really great deal as is the teeth-whitening at $49 which is usually $99.”
Located on the lower level by the food court from day one, CBV has been the go-to for any face treatments one may be seeking. Eyebrow waxing, HD brows, micro-blading and many other services are specialized at the shop by the staff that has been trained well to do great work.
“The training is in Toronto and runs for six weeks,” said Godfrey. “There is a bit of time in a co-op salon for the hands-on stuff but it takes a good year to get really comfortable with it because it is different when you’re in class learning than when you are in the field and working with customers. It does take a while but truthfully Caryl Baker Visage is such a great company to work for because of how we’re treated so well. You learn all the basics and tricks of the trade in school, then come here and are able to have a great working environment.”
While with just one shop in Barrie, CBV has many locations around Ontario and is well known for having some of the industry’s best products; though Godfrey insists that the Barrie store is well known for being more than a great place to purchase facial items.
“Our products have always spoken for themselves but we are way more than just that,” said Godfrey. “Our staff loves coming to work and helping our clients. It’s great to see our regulars come in excited to give us big news and sit and chat while we do what we do; it’s more like a family and friends gathering instead of work.”
