We are thrilled to announce we are opening nominations for this year's Community Builders Awards.
As steadfast champions of local, we strive to support and uplift our community and that most certainly includes the innovative, resilient and inspiring people who make Barrie so special.
The BarrieToday Community Builders Awards allow us to celebrate the many extraordinary individuals and groups working to build a better Barrie.
The awards will honour individuals and organizations in 10 categories, including Arts, Economic Development, Education, Environment, Hall of Fame, Health Care, Legacy, Sports and Recreation, Unsung Hero and Young Leader.

All Barrie residents, businesses and organizations are eligible for nomination.
We will recognize each of the winners with a feature article that honours their accomplishments.
Nominations are open now until Thursday, Aug. 29. You can learn more and nominate someone for the Community Builders Awards here.
A team of local judges will review the submissions once nominations close. We plan to start announcing the winners on Nov. 18.
We look forward to reading about the remarkable community members who have helped build Barrie into the special community we call home.
