Allandale Station resident isolating in their suite after positive COVID test

On Nov. 5, MTCO Holdings Inc., Allandale Station Retirement Residence’s management company, was informed of one confirmed positive case of COVID-19 in a resident at the Allandale Station Retirement Residence.

“The health and well-being of our residents, staff, and families are the most important,” said Pam Story, Regional Director, Operations at MTCO Holdings Inc. “The infection prevention and control measures in place at Allandale Station are to protect the health and safety of our community here, and we look forward to resuming normal operations at this residence as soon as the outbreak is resolved.”

The resident is isolating in their suite, the full residence has been placed in a building-wide outbreak as instructed by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU), and all residents and families have been informed.

There are currently no other confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Allandale Station Retirement Residence.

Allandale Station is working closely with the SMDHU, Central Local Health Integration Network, and Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority, and have implemented all isolation and infection control protocols as directed.

In collaboration with SMDHU, universal testing (all residents and staff) is underway and to be completed as early as Nov. 6 or 7.

These measures are in place to protect the health and safety of all residents, staff, and families, and operations will return to normal as soon as the outbreak has been resolved.
