The following letter is in response to an article titled 'City wants your input on new disc golf course near Park Place,' published Aug. 19.
The City of Barrie seems to be intent on destroying what little we have left in the way of natural areas.
Now they want to build a disc golf course in the Bayview West Natural Area.
This is a terrible idea.
This is currently a beautiful, quiet area with mature tall trees where you can go for a walk and enjoy the peaceful natural forest setting. Cutting down trees and installing fixtures would ruin one of Barrie’s few natural habitats.
There must be other areas where this could go that would not require disturbing a mature forest.
