CHRISTMAS CHEER BARRIE

The 2019 Barrie and District Christmas Cheer Campaign is pleased to announce that the fifth annual Christmas rock 'n' roll matinee 'fun'-raiser will take place at the Queens Hometown Bar & Grill located at 94 Dunlop St. E., on Saturday, Dec. 7.
The fun begins at 1:30 p.m. and will run until 6 p.m.
Local favourites The Fred Grant Squares will be performing and will also be accompanied on stage by special guests David James Bowen and Lookout Nelson. This concert event is sure to bring down the house, with an afternoon filled with fun, food, drinks and dancing to all of your favourite rock 'n' roll classics.
"This event has been so amazing, the mountain of toys people drop off and the money that’s raised for this great local charity…WOW! And everyone has such a good time, just can't WAIT to do it again!" - Cynthia Garner, concert goer and Christmas Cheer event volunteer.
There is no cover fee being charged, however cash donations and/or unwrapped toys for 8, 9 and 10 year old boys and girls will be graciously accepted at the door upon entry. With a lofty goal of $250,000 to raise in order to provide over 1,700 families in the Barrie area a Christmas, the organization really relies on events such as this one to help reach their fundraising goal.
