The South Asian Association of Simcoe County (SAASC) is hosting its third annual Karvachauth Henna Party and Bazaar on Friday, Oct. 18 at Allandale Recreation Centre in Barrie.

It’s going to be a party at the Allandale Recreation Centre on Friday night.

The South Asian Association of Simcoe County (SAASC) is hosting its third annual Karvachauth Henna Party and Bazaar on Friday, Oct. 18 at the south-end Barrie facility.

The event, which is scheduled to run from 6 to 10 p.m., will bring together a variety of different vendors as the community prepares for Karwa Chauth with a variety of unique offerings.

Karwa Chauth, say organizers, is a cherished tradition where couples fast for the well-being and longevity of their partners, celebrating love and devotion, noting the local event will bring traditions to the modern day.

The event is free to attend, note organizers, adding as a non-profit organization, their mission is to give back to the community and ensure everyone can enjoy this special occasion together.
