March break is almost here, and Barrie Public Library (BPL) is very excited to share the full slate of programs and activities planned that will help keep the entire family entertained and engaged during the break.

"We are excited to invite families and individuals to spend their March break at the library," says Sandra Sydor, Barrie Public Library manager of community engagement. "Our theme for March break this year is 'blast off into a world of imagination', and we have an array of space themed-activities planned for all ages".

Highlights of the schedule include an opportunity to take a tour of the Ontario Planetarium's mobile dome. The dome will be at our Downtown location on March 11 and at the Painswick branch on March 12. Young space enthusiasts can also take part in Space Camp at Painswick on March 13 and Downtown on March 14

For our teen community we'll be hosting a Teen Movie Night at Painswick on March 14. The cult classic Scott Pilgrim vs. The World will be shown on the big screen. Grab your friends, some snacks and come dressed as your favourite character!

For a more down-to-earth experience, we have Galactic Golf! This fun-filled mini-putt course can be found at the Holly Library on March 15.
